At Parental Wellness, we are dedicated to supporting the mental and emotional well-being of individuals and families throughout the perinatal journey. From pregnancy through postpartum and early parenthood, we recognize that this season of life brings both profound joy and unique challenges.

Our platform offers professionally developed courses focused on perinatal mental health, designed to provide evidence-based education, practical tools, and compassionate guidance. Whether you are a parent, partner, or professional seeking deeper understanding, our programs are created to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to navigate this critical time.

Beyond education, Parental Wellness is a supportive community. We provide a space where individuals can connect, share experiences, and access encouragement without judgment. We believe that healing and resilience are strengthened through connection, and no one should have to navigate this journey alone.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and real-life support—making high-quality mental health resources accessible, approachable, and relevant to everyday life.

At Parental Wellness, we are committed to nurturing healthier parents, stronger families, and more connected communities.

Evidence Based Knowledge

Evidence-based perinatal mental health care uses research-backed strategies to support emotional wellness during pregnancy and the postpartum period. It integrates proven therapeutic approaches, clinical best practices, and up-to-date scientific findings to help parents recognize symptoms early, build effective coping skills, strengthen support systems, and improve outcomes for both parent and baby.

Coping Mechanisms

Supportive coping strategies for perinatal mental wellness include prioritizing rest, practicing self-compassion, staying connected to trusted supports, using mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, and reaching out for professional care when emotional challenges begin to affect daily life, bonding, or overall well-being.

Guidance and Encouragement

It’s important to know that support is available and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Guidance from trained professionals, combined with self-care strategies and community support, can help parents manage stress, anxiety, or depression and regain a sense of balance. With encouragement, understanding, and practical tools, parents can navigate these challenges, nurture their own well-being, and create a healthy, loving environment for their baby.

Meet Alisha Bauman, PMHNP

Alisha Bauman is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, who is a passionate advocate for perinatal mental health and is on a mission to change the way we support families during one of life’s most transformative seasons.

While pursuing her master’s degree, Alisha welcomed her first child—and unexpectedly found herself battling severe postpartum depression. What was meant to be a brief pause in her education became a life-changing journey through the realities of maternal mental health. Through therapy, medication management, and unwavering support, she made a full recovery and has been in remission since her daughter was 18 months old.

Today, Alisha brings both clinical expertise and powerful lived experience to the stage. She speaks candidly about the challenges of the perinatal period, breaking down stigma and creates space for honest, necessary conversations about mental health.

Her work goes beyond mothers—Alisha is a strong voice for recognizing and supporting partners, who are often overlooked despite facing their own mental health struggles during this time. She is dedicated to shifting the narrative so that every parent feels seen, supported, and equipped.

Through her courses, practice, and advocacy, Alisha empowers families with practical tools, evidence-based insight, and hope. Her message is clear: you are not alone, support is available, and thriving—not just surviving—is possible in parenthood.
